Welcome to the 3rd Edition of the Paintball Indian Open , part of the PALS India Initiative we at the National Paintball League thrive to give International teams the best experience of Paintball tournament and the best of India's culture , food & its people .
The Maharaja trophy which is a treasure by itself and an opportunity for all to enjoy India , its culture , its food , hospitality and off course play with some of the best teams in the world. This is the only tournament where teams from any division can compete with higher division teams all in a level playing ground & for sure to showcase your talent to play bigger tournaments. This tournament is open for Indian teams who want to better their skills in the Novice divisions , Corporate/College & school divisions from across the country and to showcase their talent to take up the sport to the next level or be spotted by NPL to be chosen to become part of the future Indian paintball team.

The last 2 years have been a stupendous success where we had one international team & 16 Indian teams participating in the first edition held in 2011 and the second edition in 2012 had 7 international teams and more than 24 Indian teams participating in various divisions , this year we hope to hit the figure of 40 teams all inclusive in various divisions & would need your consistent support for the same.

This years infrastructure will be well acknowledged and appreciated by all & we must thank all our ardent fans & supporters like Mr Paul Lam from the PALS Asia for his consistent guidance and support in developing the league.

Culture Tour

This year when you travel please stay for couple more nights , on monday the 15th we are doing a road trip to the Mysore Maharajs palace in a 30 seater bus for all international travelers at USD 25 per head & we would go by to the Tipu Sultans Palace , a Bird Sanctuary called Ranganathittu & site seeing in history filled Mysore.. people who wanna know more about Mysore please google the same

Reaching Bangalore

Bangalore has an International airport( BIAL) so direct flights are available from all destinations in the world , Pick up and drop will be organized from Airport to Airport by the organizers at a cost of 20 USD per head. Pick up & drop from the official hotel to Venue and back will be free but there will be only 2 shuttle timing one in the Morning & one in the evening .

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation runs twelve bus routes from as many locations in the city to connect to the new airport. Air Conditioned Taxi services are also available.

Prize Money and Trophy

The Indian open has 3 different categories to play at

Open Division

Open to any team in the world to come a win the coveted Maharaja trophy Entry fees 500 USD & first 8 teams get 8 boxes of free paint offer ends on a first-cum-first-serve basis, if there are more than 12 teams prize money is 2000 USD first prize & 1000 USD for runner up, if there are less than 12 teams then Winners get 1000 USD(50% Cash/ 50% in-Kind) & Runners up The Medium Maharaja Trophy & Medals for both, Three drinks(per player) of Absolut Vodka at the after party for all Open division players.

• The format is P7 & 8 mins game
• Race to 3
• 1 player from this division can compete in the lower division
• All Winners will get medals. Prize Money in cash or kind.

Novice category

For Indian teams -semi automatic markers

This is to promote Indian teams to take a step into the nest league , like we have seen many Indian teams take confidence from this division and then go on to play World Cups etc, this is the place where we see the future of Indian paintball lies Entry - 200 USD Prize money : 600 USD(50% Cash/ 50% Kind) for winners & 300 USD runners up for min 12 teams. If less than 12 teams, 300 USD(50% Cash/ 50% Kind) for winning team & a Maharaja cup. Teams who have won last years tournament cannot play the same category .

• The format is P7 & 6 mins game
• race to 2
• 1 player from this division can compete in the lower division
• The Best Team of each city will get a trophy
• All Winners will get medals. Prize Money in cash or kind.
• The Novice Open winner will get a Maharaja Trophy.

Corporate/College/School Category

This is the entry level category for corporate & college teams to fight to conquer the crown to become the Top Indian corporate or college , the corporate & college divisions will compete together only the winning team will get prize moneys , the top college and corporate team will get a special trophy as well. Entry - 100 USD Prize money : 300 USD for winners & 150 USD runners up for min 12 teams or 150 USD for winning team if less. Teams who have won last years tournament cannot play the same category .

Officials

NPL & PALS India - the only professional Paintball operator runs the Indian open with the help of PALS Asia & Paintball Association of India. The Officials of the event will be APBF REFs headed by Mr Junaidi & PAI Official REFS headed by Mr Karan Sood .

PAI Meet

Paintball Association of India will meet for the first time in open doors, where all paintball related field operators, shop owners & players are welcome, this will be a meeting to recognize association members & also draw up vision 2014 for paintball in India, all are invited. Letter
